Nursery, 0 to 2 years

Leaving your baby in someone else's care, without the worry

Our nursery is small, calm and led by kaiako who specialise in under twos. Your baby keeps their own routine, has one primary kaiako and you hear about every sleep, bottle and milestone.

Two Months Free Childcare, across the whole centre. Terms and eligibility apply. Contact Wonderhub for full details.

How we care for babies

Responsive care, not a centre timetable

Under twos need consistency more than activities. Everything in our nursery is built around that.

Primary kaiako

One familiar adult leads your baby's settling, feeding, nappy changes and daily communication with you.

Your sleep routine

We follow the sleep pattern that works at home, in a separate quiet sleep space, and we never wake a sleeping baby.

Safe space to move

Low, open shelving, natural materials and clear floor space so crawlers and new walkers can explore safely.

Daily written updates

Sleeps, bottles, meals, nappies and the little moments, recorded and shared with you every day.

Settling in

A gentle start, at your baby's pace

No two babies settle the same way, so we do not rush it. Most families do two or three short visits before the first full day.

  • A pre-enrolment visit where you stay the whole time
  • Short visits so your baby meets their primary kaiako
  • We collect your routine in detail before day one
  • Photos and messages on the first day so you know how it is going
  • You are welcome to phone or drop in to feed at any time

Nursery questions

What parents of babies ask us most

How many babies are in the nursery?

Our nursery is intentionally small so babies get unhurried, responsive care. Ratios are better than the licensing requirement for under twos, and each baby has a primary kaiako.

Do you follow our home sleep and feed routine?

Yes. We follow your baby's own rhythm for sleeping, feeding and comfort rather than a centre timetable, and we record each sleep, bottle and nappy change for you.

Can I send breast milk or formula?

Absolutely. Breast milk and formula are stored and prepared following our food safety procedures, and you are welcome to come in and feed your baby at any time.

What do we need to bring?

A named water bottle, a named formula bottle if your baby has formula, a pacifier if they use one, a change of clothes and any comfort item they love. Nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding and all meals are included, and baby food is cooked on site for pēpi starting solids.
