Enrolment
How enrolment works
1. Send an enquiry
Tell us your child's age and the days you would like. We reply within one working day with availability.
2. Visit the centre
Come and look around with your child, meet the kaiako and ask everything you want to know. There is no obligation.
3. Confirm your place
We send an enrolment pack and a written fee estimate with funding and the two months free offer applied.
4. Settle in gently
Bring your child for as many short visits as they need, then start with the days that suit your family.
Parent handbook
Read our handbook before your first day
The handbook covers our policies on illness, medication, sun safety, sleep, food, behaviour guidance and what to pack.
Day to day
What to bring and expect
- A named bag with two changes of clothes
- Any comfort item, dummy or blanket your child needs
- A warm jacket and shoes for outdoor play in every season
- Meals, nappies, wipes, bedding and sunscreen are provided
- Sign your child in and out each day at the entry
Health
If your child is unwell
Please keep your child home if they have a fever, are vomiting, have diarrhoea or have an infectious illness. Children need to be 24 hours clear of symptoms before returning.
If your child becomes unwell during the day we will phone you straight away. Medication is only given with written permission, and we record every dose.
Let us know about allergies or medical conditions at enrolment so we can put a plan in place with you.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What ages do you care for?
We care for tamariki from three months old through to school age. Our nursery supports tamariki aged 0 to 2 years, and our preschool supports two to five year olds.
Do you have space available?
Availability can change throughout the year. Please send an enquiry and our team will let you know which days may suit your family.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:00pm, closed on public holidays.
How does the two months free childcare offer work?
Two Months Free Childcare is available to eligible families enrolling with us. Terms and eligibility apply. Contact Wonderhub for full details.
Can we visit before we enrol?
Yes, and we recommend it. Send an enquiry and we will arrange a time for you to look around, meet the kaiako and ask questions with your child alongside you.
Do you provide meals?
Yes. Morning tea, a cooked lunch and afternoon tea are provided, with dietary requirements and allergies catered for. Nappies, wipes, sunscreen and bedding are also included.
Do you accept government funding and WINZ subsidies?
We are a licensed early learning service, so 20 Hours ECE for three to five year olds and WINZ childcare subsidies can be applied where your family is eligible. We will help you work out what applies.
How do you settle a new child in?
You are welcome to bring your child for as many short visits as they need before their first full day. A primary kaiako is matched to your child so there is one familiar face leading the settling process.
